Sam was bred at Bairnsdale in Victoria and arrived at Narrawin Stud as yearling.  He was started under saddle at Narrawin along the lines of traditional Peruvian training.  He was one of our pleasure riding horses until he was retired from riding due to injury.

His pasollano is well developed, he has a good thread and he shows moderate termino. He has great natural self-carriage and a very big overstep.

Sam has a very outgoing personality, is highly intelligent and very willing to please. He is an absolute pleasure to work with at all times. He has loads of brio, that quality which makes Spanish blood horses so special. Brio is heart, fire, a desire to show off and please, but easily controllable with the touch of a finger or a word.

He is 14 hands in height, elegant and of Spanish type. He has sired  lovely partbred and purebred foals. All have inherited his intelligence and outgoing nature.  All offspring from Peruvian or gaited mares are also showing correct paso gaits.

As a breeding stallion, he is a delight to work with. Plenty of interest in the girls, but gentle and chatty and perfectly easy to control at all times.
